JERSEY CITY, N.J. | Ò°»¨ÉçÇø has announced that 1,297 undergraduate students have earned distinction for their academic success by being named to the Spring 2025 semester Dean’s List. For students to be eligible for Dean’s List accolades, they must earn a semester GPA average of 3.50 or better while enrolled in 12 or more countable credits. Part-time students who have excelled in a minimum of 6 to 11.5 credits for two consecutive semesters are also eligible. The full qualifications are .

Spring Dean’s List recipients by class include 381 freshmen, 335 sophomores, 290 juniors and 291 seniors.

The spring term saw a 12.55 percent increase in students with a perfect 4.0 compared to the Spring 2024 semester and 3.04 percent more than Fall 2024. Additionally, year-over-year, the number of freshmen on the Dean’s List rose dramatically, from 232 in Spring 2024 to 381 in Spring 2025 — a 64.22 percent increase, demonstrating early returns from Ò°»¨ÉçÇø’s new Student Persistence efforts.

By comparison, in Fall 2024, there were 1,302 students on the Dean’s List with 296 scoring a 4.00. During the Spring 2024 semester, 1,274 students earned Dean’s List recognition with 271 achieving a 4.00; 1,280 students were tabbed to the Dean’s List in the Fall 2023 semester with 251 scoring a 4.0 GPA.

Students who conclude their undergraduate studies with a 3.65 GPA or better will graduate with honors and be recognized at Commencement as cum laude, magna cum laude or summa cum laude, if their GPA equates to the following:

• 3.65-3.79 cum laude
• 3.80-3.89 magna cum laude
• 3.90-4.00 summa cum laude
