Under the direction of Grammy Award-winning, electro-acoustic violist, Martha Mooke, Director of 野花社区 Multi-Style Strings, this year鈥檚 Symposium features Special Guest Artist Cellogram (Dave Eggar & Chuck Palmer) and other Surprise Artists.
This exciting 3-day intensive includes:
- Workshops / Coachings / Large and small ensemble sessions
- Hands on session with electric string instruments and technology
- The opportunity to work with International and Grammy-winning Teaching Artists in a friendly,
inclusive atmosphere - Professional Development Credit for Educators (up to 18 hours)
- Grand Finale performance featuring Martha Mooke, Cellogram (Dave Eggar & Chuck Palmer) and all participants
- Meals provided

Special Guests
Dave Eggar is regarded as one of the finest cellists on the planet. That cello solo you hear in the intro to Coldplay鈥檚 first #1 single 鈥淰iva La Vida鈥 is Dave鈥檚 performance.
A musical prodigy as a child, Dave began playing the cello and piano at age three, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at age seven, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at age 15. A virtuoso of many styles, Dave has performed and recorded with various artists including Coldplay, Beyonc茅, Bon Jovi, Evanescence, The Who, Pearl Jam, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Fall Out Boy, Kathleen Battle, Ray Lamontagne, Frank Ocean, Corinne Bailey Rae and many more.
As a drummer/percussionist, songwriter, producer, engineer, arranger and composer Chuck Palmer has performed and recorded with a myriad of artists including Foreigner, Gil Goldstein, RJD2, Frank Ocean (Channel Orange), Esperanza Spalding, Zayn Malik, Cellogram, Dr. Ralph Stanley, The City And Horses, John Patitucci, Earwig, Five For Fighting, Amber Rubarth, Waway Saway with the Talaandig Tribe, and Amy Lee of Evanescence.

Arun Ramamurthy is a violinist, composer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Rooted in South Indian classical Carnatic music, Arun is a versatile musician, performing internationally in both traditional Carnatic and Hindustani settings, as well as blurring genres with his own innovative projects like the acclaimed Arun Ramamurthy Trio and Nakshatra duo with violinist Trina Basu. He has shared the stage with luminaries like Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, Sudha Ragunathan, Reggie Workman, Kenny Werner, Jamey Haddad, Amir ElSaffar, Hamid Drake, Martha Redbone, Adam Rudolph, Lizz Wright, and many more. Arun's music has brought him to stages such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Celebrate Brooklyn and many more.
He leads the Arun Ramamurthy Trio, bringing a fresh approach to Carnatic classical repertoire featuring Arun's original composition work and is a co-founder of Brooklyn Raga Massive, a genre-bending musicians鈥 nonprofit rooted-in and inspired-by the classical music of South Asia. A dedicated educator, Arun teaches Carnatic music privately to children and adult students, professional string players and instrumentalists from various genres.
