At the Center for Teacher Preparation and Partnerships, we understand the importance of completing your certification. As you engage in the process, we encourage following our stepwise process to ensure the timely processing of your application.

Step 1
  • Email gradcert@njcu.edu to request certification packet specific to your intended area of certification.
Step 2
  • Please use the links provided below to begin your application.

Step 3
  • Once completed, please email your full application and all required documents as one scanned document to gradcert@njcu.edu to prevent a processing delay.

Transcript updates are time sensitive.

  • December completion - To allow transcript updates, please request transcripts January 30, 2025.
  • Spring completion - To allow transcript updates, please request transcripts June 30, 2025.

Failure to adhere to these timelines will delay the certification process, which is approximately 2-3 weeks. Once approved by a department chairperson, your application will be uploaded in NJ edCert, the new NJ DOE Teacher Certification platform, for final processing.

Candidates for an Educational Services endorsement, such as Supervisor or Reading Specialist, may elect to use the  to apply with the state directly via . 

Candidates for an initial instructional certification, such as Elementary or Secondary English, must apply through 野花社区. Teachers of Students with Disability (TOSD) candidates must also apply through 野花社区.

Endorsement candidates should note that both processes involve university review and approval of your academic records and credentials, along with verification of program completion by the appropriate 野花社区 Department Chairperson.
